Part of our Heritage - Honouring the Okubo family

Our relationship with the Okubo family started in 1997 when twin daughters, Yoshimi and Satomi began at this College in Yr 7 in 1997. They graduated pursuing further study in Hospitality and Child Care in 2002.

We recognise the family name now because of their younger brother Gentoku who came to study full-time at out College in Yr 7 when his sisters were in Yr 12.

This makes the Okubo family the overseas family with the longest association with our College here at Gosford. 18 years of enrolment at the Full Fee paying rate is a substantial investment.

With Gentoku graduating this year we took the opportunity to honour the family when Mr & Mrs Okubo visited earlier this year.

Mr & Mrs Okubo receiving a gift and commemorative plaque in honour of their commitment and willingness to entrust their children to us.  THANK YOU for that WONDERFUL opportunity!!  God Bless you richly.

                                       EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENTS

GOSFORD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

  • Gosford Christian School has been acquired by St Philip’s Christian Education Foundation Ltd. to add to their current group of Schools including Newcastle, Port Stephens, Cessnock, DALE and Narnia Preschool. All of the Schools are situated in the Hunter Valley tourist areas, just north of  Gosford.
  • St Philip’s Christian Education Foundation Ltd is independent of any church affiliation and is support by a broad range of churches including traditional, evangelical and Pentecostal. We are members of the Australian Association of Christian Schools and of the Association of Independent Schools.

  • St Philip's are very excited at the prospect of adding Gosford to our group of schools and believe that together we can grow to be stronger as we share the experience and talents of staff across our schools to benefit all our students.

  • The name of the College will change in time to St Philip’s Christian College – Gosford. The current uniform, education programs, teaching and pastoral  care  will remain at the same high standard.

The Management of St Philips Christian Education Foundation Ltd. fully endorses the excellent International Student Program that has been operating in Gosford Christian School since the early 1990’s.

We look forward with anticipation and excitement to working with you and your organisation to develop the International Education market across the other campuses of our Education foundation.

We spent a very enjoyable 4 hours together reminiscing about their school days; reflecting on the decision for them to have studied in Australia; their aspirations for the future etc.
